Linear thermodilatometry
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006634
A thermomechanical analysis technique that measures the change in length of a material as a function of temperature. A specimen is subjected to a controlled temperature program, and its linear expansion or contraction is recorded. This method is used to determine coefficients of thermal expansion and glass transition temperatures.
