Loss of life expectancy
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006775
A measure of the reduction in the average number of years a person is expected to live, often due to exposure to environmental hazards, diseases, or other risk factors. This metric quantifies the impact of adverse conditions on population health and longevity. It is calculated by comparing the life expectancy of a population under specific risk conditions to a baseline life expectancy without those risks.
