Countercurrent chromatography

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002635

A liquid-liquid chromatographic separation technique that uses two immiscible liquid phases, one stationary and one mobile, without a solid support matrix. The stationary phase is held in place by centrifugal force, while the mobile phase flows through it in a countercurrent manner. This method avoids irreversible adsorption and sample loss associated with solid supports.
