Gas chromatography
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004759
A separation technique where the mobile phase is a gas and the stationary phase is a liquid or solid adsorbed on an inert support. Volatile components of a sample are separated based on their differential partitioning between the mobile and stationary phases. This method is widely used for analyzing organic compounds in complex mixtures.
