Gas black

A finely divided form of carbon produced by the incomplete combustion or thermal decomposition of natural gas or other hydrocarbons. It consists primarily of elemental carbon in amorphous or graphitic structures. Gas black is widely used as a reinforcing filler in rubber products, particularly tires, and as a pigment in inks and plastics.
