Thermal black
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011930
A type of carbon black produced by the thermal decomposition of hydrocarbons, such as natural gas, in the absence of air. This process yields relatively large, spherical particles with low surface area and low structure. Thermal black is primarily used as a reinforcing filler in rubber products and as a pigment.
