Colloidal carbon
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002238
Finely divided carbon particles dispersed in a continuous medium, forming a colloidal system. These particles are typically amorphous or nanocrystalline and exhibit properties characteristic of colloids, such as Brownian motion and light scattering. Carbon black is a common example of colloidal carbon, widely used as a pigment and reinforcing filler.
