Colloidal electrolyte
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002241
A substance that dissociates in a solvent to form ions, where at least one of the resulting ions is of colloidal size. These large ions carry multiple charges and influence the properties of the solution through electrostatic interactions. Soaps and detergents are common examples, forming micelles that act as colloidal ions.
