Adsorption chromatography
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000284
A chromatographic separation technique where the separation is based on the differential adsorption of analytes onto a solid stationary phase. Components of a mixture are separated as they move through the column, with stronger adsorption leading to slower elution. Common stationary phases include silica and alumina, and the mobile phase can be a liquid or a gas.
