Elute
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003818
To remove an adsorbed substance from a stationary phase by washing it with a solvent. In chromatography, this process involves passing a mobile phase through the column to carry the separated components out. The rate at which a substance elutes depends on its affinity for both the stationary and mobile phases.
