Elution band
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003819
A zone of separated components that moves through a chromatographic column during the elution process. This band broadens and separates as it travels, ideally forming distinct regions for each analyte. The width and shape of the elution band are influenced by factors such as column efficiency and flow rate.
