High-speed counter-current chromatography
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005301
A liquid-liquid chromatography technique that separates compounds based on their differential partitioning between two immiscible liquid phases without the use of a solid support. The stationary phase is retained in a coiled column by centrifugal force, while the mobile phase is pumped through it. This method is particularly effective for isolating natural products and other labile compounds.
