pH-zone-refining counter-current chromatography

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008962

A specialized form of counter-current chromatography that separates compounds based on differences in their pKa values. This technique employs a pH gradient within the stationary phase, causing analytes to migrate and concentrate into distinct zones. It is particularly effective for the separation of ionizable compounds, such as amino acids or organic acids.
