Sandwich immunoassay
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010511
A type of immunoassay where the analyte is bound between two antibodies, forming a 'sandwich' complex. One antibody, the capture antibody, is immobilized on a solid support, while the other, the detection antibody, is labeled. This method offers high specificity and sensitivity for detecting antigens, commonly used in ELISA tests.
