Immunoradiometric assay
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005701
A type of immunoassay that uses radiolabeled antibodies to quantify an antigen in a sample. In this method, two antibodies are typically used: one unlabeled antibody captures the antigen, and a second radiolabeled antibody binds to a different epitope on the captured antigen. The amount of radioactivity measured is directly proportional to the concentration of the antigen, offering high sensitivity.
