Scintillation proximity assay
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010582
A homogeneous immunoassay technique that measures molecular interactions in solution without the need for separation steps, relying on the proximity of a radiolabeled molecule to a scintillant-containing bead. When the radiolabel binds to a molecule captured on the bead, the emitted radiation excites the scintillant, producing light. This method is widely used in drug discovery for high-throughput screening.
