Homogeneous assay
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005360
A type of bioassay where all components of the reaction, including the sample, reagents, and the product being measured, are mixed together in a single solution. No separation or washing steps are required before the signal is read, which simplifies automation and increases throughput. The AlphaScreen (Amplified Luminescent Proximity Homogeneous Assay) is a common bead-based example.
