Radioimmunoassay
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009888
A highly sensitive immunoassay technique that measures the concentration of a substance, typically an antigen, in a sample by using antibodies and a radiolabeled antigen. The method relies on the competitive binding of labeled and unlabeled antigen to a limited number of antibody binding sites. The amount of bound radioactivity is inversely proportional to the concentration of the unlabeled antigen in the sample.
