Radioimmunoconjugate
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009889
A molecule formed by chemically linking a radionuclide (radioisotope) to an antibody or antibody fragment. These conjugates are designed to specifically target and bind to antigens expressed on cells, such as cancer cells. They are used in nuclear medicine for both diagnostic imaging (radioimmunoscintigraphy) and targeted radiotherapy, delivering cytotoxic radiation directly to diseased tissues.
