Radioiodination
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009890
The chemical process of introducing a radioactive isotope of iodine, such as iodine-125 or iodine-131, into a molecule. This labeling technique is commonly used to create radiotracers for biological and medical research. The resulting radiolabeled compounds are detectable at very low concentrations due to their radioactivity.
