Wilzbach labelling
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012703
A method for introducing radioactive isotopes, typically tritium, into organic compounds by exposing them to the gaseous isotope. The exchange of hydrogen atoms with tritium occurs through a radiation-induced process, leading to a labeled compound. This technique is a relatively simple way to prepare radiolabeled compounds, although it can result in non-specific labeling and requires purification.
