Nonselectively labelled

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008050

Describing an isotopically labelled compound in which neither the positions nor the number of labelling nuclides are defined, so the label is spread over the molecule without a stated pattern, as when a compound is labelled with tritium by exposure to tritium gas. It contrasts with selectively and specifically labelled compounds, where the labelled positions are stated.
