Isotope exchange analysis
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006235
A quantitative analytical technique based on the exchange of isotopes between a labeled compound and an unlabeled compound in a sample. A known amount of a radioactive or stable isotope-labeled reagent is added to the sample, and the extent of isotope exchange with the analyte is measured. This method is particularly applicable for determining trace amounts of substances in complex matrices.
