Chemical isotope exchange
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001950
A process involving the transfer of isotopes of an element between two different chemical species or phases through a chemical reaction. This exchange occurs without a net change in the chemical composition of the system, only in the isotopic distribution. It is often used in isotope separation or in labeling studies to trace reaction pathways.
