Isotopic separation
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006250
The process of separating isotopes of the same element from each other, typically to increase the concentration of a particular isotope. This is achieved by exploiting the small differences in physical or chemical properties, such as mass or reaction rates, between isotopes. Methods include gaseous diffusion, centrifugation, and laser isotope separation.
