Radioactive tracer technique
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009869
An analytical method that uses radioactive isotopes to follow the path of a substance through a complex system. By incorporating a small, detectable amount of a radionuclide into a compound, its behavior can be monitored using radiation detectors. This technique is widely applied in medicine, environmental science, and industrial research.
