Generally labelled tracer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004823
A chemical compound in which a specific atom or atoms have been replaced by a detectable isotope, and the label is distributed throughout the molecule rather than at a single, defined position. This allows the entire molecule to be tracked through a chemical or biological process. Such tracers are often used in metabolic studies or reaction mechanism elucidation.
