Radioactive tracer

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009868

A radioactive isotope incorporated into a substance to track its movement or distribution within a system. The emitted radiation allows for the detection and quantification of the labeled substance without altering its chemical properties. This technique is widely used in medicine for diagnostic imaging and in environmental studies to follow pollutant pathways.
