Recovery

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010030

The fraction of an analyte that is successfully extracted or detected from a sample matrix, expressed as a percentage of the amount originally present. It quantifies the efficiency of an analytical method in isolating the target substance from interfering components. A high recovery percentage indicates minimal loss of the analyte during sample preparation and analysis.
