  "definition": "The ratio of the quantity value measured for a component by a measurement procedure to a reference quantity value for that component, both of the same kind, such as concentration or content. It is also called analytical recovery and is used in procedure validation to estimate and correct bias, often from the change measured after a known amount is added. It differs from material recovery, which is the mass of a component isolated divided by the mass in the original system.",
