Unitary quantity

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012441

A quantity whose magnitude is expressed as a reference quantity, its unit, multiplied by a number, such as 5 kg or 2.3 mol/L. The term corresponds to a quantity expressed by a measurement unit and excludes ordinal quantities, which are defined by conventional scales and have no unit. Length, mass and amount-of-substance concentration are examples.
