Universal calibration
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012442
A method used in size-exclusion chromatography (SEC) to determine the molar mass of a polymer sample independently of its chemical structure. It relies on the principle that the hydrodynamic volume of a polymer in solution, rather than its molar mass, dictates its elution behavior. This method typically involves plotting the product of intrinsic viscosity and molar mass against elution volume.
