External calibration
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004266
A calibration method in which the analytical instrument is standardized using a series of known concentrations of the analyte, prepared separately from the sample matrix. A calibration curve is then constructed by plotting the instrument response against the known concentrations. This curve is subsequently used to determine the concentration of the analyte in unknown samples.
