Linearity of calibration

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006637

The degree to which a calibration curve, which plots instrument response against known concentrations of an analyte, approximates a straight line. A linear calibration indicates a proportional relationship between the analyte concentration and the measured signal within a specific range. This property is assessed using statistical methods like regression analysis.
