Calibration function

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001577

A mathematical model that relates the measured analytical response to the concentration or amount of an analyte. This relationship is determined experimentally by measuring the signals from a set of calibration standards containing known quantities of the analyte. The resulting function, often represented by a linear equation derived from regression analysis, is then used to determine the analyte concentration in unknown samples based on their measured signals.
