Matrix-matched calibration

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007035

A calibration strategy where the standards used to create the calibration curve are prepared in a matrix that is identical or very similar to that of the unknown samples. This method is employed to compensate for matrix effects, where components of the sample other than the analyte interfere with the analytical signal. A blank matrix, which is a sample known to be free of the analyte, is used to prepare the calibration standards.
