Calibration sample
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001581
A material or solution containing a known concentration of the analyte, used to establish the relationship between the analytical signal and the analyte's concentration. A series of these samples, covering a range of concentrations, is measured to generate a calibration curve. This curve, a plot of instrument response versus concentration, is then used to determine the unknown concentration of the analyte in a test sample by interpolating its measured response.
