Calibrator

A substance or device with a known, accurate value of the analyte or property being measured, used to establish the response of an analytical instrument. It provides a reference point for quantitative analysis, allowing the instrument to be adjusted or its readings to be corrected. Calibrators are often certified reference materials with documented traceability.
