Flux monitor
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004542
A device or material used to measure the intensity or spatial distribution of a particle flux, such as neutrons or photons, in a given experimental setup. It provides a means to normalize experimental results for variations in source strength or irradiation conditions. Common flux monitors include foils of known activation cross-section that are irradiated alongside the sample.
