Sample flux density
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010496
The intensity of radiation that emerges from the atomizer while it is fed with a sample solution or, for comparison, with a solution serving as the reference, written as phi s of lambda. It is the counterpart of the reference flux density, which is the intensity passing through the reference medium. Absorbance follows from the logarithm of the ratio of the reference flux density to the sample flux density.
