Solvent blank flux density

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013568

The radiant power per unit area that passes through the atomizer in an atomic absorption spectroscopy setup when only the pure solvent is introduced. This measurement serves as the reference signal for calculating the absorbance of a sample. It accounts for any background absorption or scattering caused by the solvent itself.
