Reference flux density
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010065
The radiation intensity measured after the reference beam of a two-beam spectrometer has crossed the reference medium, written as phi r of lambda at each wavelength. It is the comparison value for the sample flux density, the intensity that emerges from the atomizer while it is fed the sample solution. Absorbance is calculated from the logarithm of the ratio of the reference flux density to the sample flux density.
