Reference examination standard
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010064
A standard designated for calibrating other standards that examine nominal properties of one kind, within a single organization or at one site. A nominal property is qualitative, such as a blood group or a bacterial species, so the standard carries a nominal property value rather than a numerical quantity value with an uncertainty. It is the qualitative counterpart of a reference measurement standard.
