Nominal reference material
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007997
A reference material characterized by one or more nominal properties, which are qualitative attributes rather than quantitative measurements. This material is used for calibration or quality control in examinations where the property itself, rather than its precise value, is of interest. An example is a material certified to contain a specific pathogen, without specifying the exact concentration.
