Nominal spectral resolution
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007998
A characteristic value indicating the ability of a spectrometer to distinguish between two closely spaced spectral features. It is often expressed as the full width at half maximum (FWHM) of the instrument's response to a monochromatic input. This value provides a general indication of the instrument's resolving power.
