Blank correction

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001360

An adjustment made to an analytical result to account for the contribution of the blank indication. This correction aims to remove systematic errors introduced by reagents, solvents, or the analytical procedure itself, independent of the analyte's presence. It is typically subtracted from the gross measurement to yield the net analyte signal.
