Background indication
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001077
The measured value obtained from a blank sample, which contains all reagents and solvents but lacks the analyte of interest. This measurement quantifies the contribution of the matrix and instrumental noise to the overall signal. It is subtracted from the sample measurement to yield the net signal attributable to the analyte.
