Blank value
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001365
The measured response obtained from a blank sample, which contains no analyte but is otherwise treated identically to the analytical sample. This value accounts for background signals, interferences from reagents, or instrumental noise. It is subtracted from the gross signal of the sample to obtain the net signal attributable to the analyte.
