Resolving time correction

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010241

An adjustment applied to the observed count rate in nuclear measurements to account for pulses that are not registered due to the finite resolving time of the detection system. This correction compensates for the dead time during which the detector is unable to process subsequent events. The correction factor increases with higher count rates and longer resolving times.
