Solvent desorption
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013569
The process of removing an adsorbed substance from a sorbent material by washing it with a suitable solvent. This technique is employed to recover the analyte from the sorbent after it has been concentrated from a sample matrix. The choice of solvent depends on the chemical properties of both the analyte and the sorbent.
